Accessible, standards-compliant websites adhering to WC3 guidelines and email campaigns using HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, WordPress, and Drupal.
Europa Science is a renowned publishing company specialising in delivering cutting-edge content through a diverse range of magazines. Their publications cover a wide array of scientific and technological topics, providing industry insights, research developments, and expert perspectives.
Europa Science Ltd, part of the Europa Science Group, commenced trading in 2003 with the acquisition of Electro Optics and Scientific Computing World. The company subsequently launched several spin-out titles, beginning with Research Information (sold in 2024) and Imaging and Machine Vision Europe in late 2003, followed by Laser Systems Europe in 2008 (merged into Electro Optics in 2024), coinciding with the inaugural Lasys event.
In 2009, Europa Science acquired Optics and Laser Europe from the Institute of Physics Publishing, leading to an expansion of Electro Optics to ten issues per year. As part of the same transaction, Fibre Systems was also acquired and subsequently relaunched in 2013.

Today, Europa Science’s services extend beyond publishing into community building and marketing services across photonics, imaging, scientific computing, and optical communications.
During my time at Europa Science, I worked on their websites using Drupal and PHP, handled email campaigns, and primarily performed web design tasks, with some graphic design work focused on email campaigns, expert blogs, and thought leadership articles.
Applications utilised at Europa Science: Drupal, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress to develop and maintain websites, as well as to create and manage email campaigns.
